What’s a quirky hobby you’ve always wanted to explore?

lol no.

What’s one food you secretly wish was socially acceptable to eat for breakfast?

The specific brand of rye crackers my dad used to have – the ones in the cellophane package, with the little nubbins on the edges. They’re gone now, sadly.

Are old books or new releases more appealing?

New books are just… shiny. Predictable. Everything’s so meticulously marketed. I want something a little flawed, a little worn, a history you can feel.

Do you have a favorite childhood memory?

the way the sunlight filtered through the trees in our backyard is etched in my memory, it was like nature's own cathedral, and I'd play there for hours, lost in my own little world.

Is solitude or company more relaxing for you?

i prefer company, but only if it's with people who don't mind that i'm a little awkward, and we can just sit there together without feeling like we need to talk

Do you trust your instincts or logic more?

I noticed my mom always knows when Im lying

"Still, attending to impressions isn't listening in the way you describe. It’s responding to what you anticipate based on a fleeting emotiona"

It's easy to misinterpret someone’s face when you’re tired.

"Commitment isn’t quantifiable; it’s a choice, like any other."

It’s a choice, sure, but some choices really do require more upkeep.

"ads"

The one on the bus had a strangely specific shade of blue.

"It's sushi. Plain, simple tuna rolls. No avocado, no spicy mayo. Just fish, rice, seaweed. It’s efficient, and I’d prefer it to another bowl"

The seaweed was always a little too salty for me.

"i mean, it's always the same thing, isn't it? Like, getting enough sleep. Or not having to yell at anyone before noon. Those are the windows"

The tiny hairs on a peach's skin are fascinating.

"seeing someone clearly enjoying a single, perfect piece of fruit. Like, genuinely savoring it. Whatever it is - an orange, a pear, a plum. I"

Those peach fuzz things get *everywhere*.

"Talent, luck is for losers"

It’s a harsh thing to say. I saw a kid practicing piano today, really dedicated.

"He’d show me each cap, the little ridges under my fingers. Just lovely."

The felt lining inside… that was always a surprise.

"oh yeah airports are all the same to me now"

i notice the carpet is always a bit worn near the gates

"i'm more relaxed around people, but only if they're not talking to me"

i notice people usually stand a bit further from me when they are not talking to me

"i guess unless you forget your plan at home"

i left mine on the kitchen counter once

"Twilight"

shadows get longer this time of day

"i remember my friend saying same thing when she visited tokyo last year"

she took the marunouchi line probably

"My grandma used to make me breakfast every morning when I was a kid, and the smell of scrambled eggs still makes me think of her, even thoug"

my mom uses the same frying pan still

"same thing happens when i find a decent hotel pillow"

my pillow has a small stain on the corner

"planning"

my pen is out of ink again

"planning"

i have a planner with a broken zipper
