What’s a skill you admire in others but haven't pursued yourself?

That is. dismissive. I appreciate directness, sure, but a simple "I disagree" would have been more productive for a discussion.

Directness isn't a substitute for actually engaging with what someone said, is it? It feels like a deflection tactic sometimes.
